Wallace's Flying Tree Frog

Wallace's Flying Tree Frog

We photographed this beautiful frog at night at Borneo Highlands after a very rainy afternoon. They generally live in the trees and come down only to mate and lay eggs. They appear to glide when coming down from the trees due to a large flap of skin between the limbs. They are quite large--8 to 10 cm in length--and quite photogenic! We were pretty excited to find this guy, and he was quite cooperative while we all took turns taking his photo with flash.
